648308-528605-thumbnail.jpgI have fallen in love with this stuff.  At a $1 a sheet, I'm very happy to be the proud ower of this very, very cool marbled sheet music.  I can't wait to use it in my journal and on some cool VW Beetle artwork.  I think it will fit RIGHT in!!!  Let Mary pick some paper for you...just drop her an email and ask her what she has available and she'll send it right out.  All of the papers were cool, but the sheet music is by far my favorite!

648308-528607-thumbnail.jpgThese handmade books are incredible.  I first saw them at the Book Arts Festival and fell in love.  You really should check out their product.  The paper is delicious and the bindings are magic.  I love them!  The one I picked has a sturdy, masculine feel...I picked it because I wanted it to be in sharp contrast to what would be on the inside...but I have been unable to work in it as of yet.  I don't know...sometimes I get like that with supplies I really like.  I feel like the work has to be perfect and since I know no work is perfect, I'm unwilling to "soil" the item with half-assed shit...so instead, I left to sit...unused.  Silly, huh?

When I first moved to Minnesota this house was vacant and I loved it.  History just sitting there as progress pops up all around it.  I took my husband to look at the property, but he said there was way too much work to be done...plus the little schoolhouse looking building behind it was a mess as well and would either need to be removed or re-worked and that wasn't an option at the time.

648308-453849-thumbnail.jpgNow this lovely house is a coffeeshop.  I don't go there as much as I used to, but I do drive by regularly...sometimes, when I need a pick me up, I go for a latte and a few minutes of sitting in the Front Room or on the patio.  It always makes me feel better...though I will warn you, the coffee isn't done as well as the location across town.  If you want to see an incredible house rehab AND have a lovely place to sit and relax, then THIS is the best coffeehouse setting in town!  If nothing else, you should at least go to see it.  OH...and they serve wine in the evenings...which is nice if they have a cheese plate available...a lovely prelude to dinner, indeed.

One of my favorite stamps stores in the Twin Cities is Smudges...it's actually in Chanhassen, which is west of the cities.  It's by far one of the best pure stamp stores in the area, though it's a bit out of the way.  They have tons of stamps, a decent paper selection and enough embellishments to make it worth a look, but its the stamps that will keep you coming back.

Go on a Wednesday too, Jill is awesome...full of incredible ideas and super nice!
