I was in the booming metropolis of Sioux Falls, South Dakota this weekend and was able to make it to a fabulous little stamp shop called The Stamp Garden. It’s small, but packed with tons of great samples. They have a huge inventory of Hero Arts, but also have a great deal of Lasting Impressions…tons of images and a strong showing of word stamps. The shop is small, but not cramped...though not big enough...ha! I love huge shops with aisles and aisles of stamps, but those are few and far between these days...oh well. THis one is fabulous as well. Very nicely lit and lots of cool samples!
The woman that waited on me was very nice and showed me the very cool Stamp of the Month. (see pic.) This months stamp is a very cute heart design. The best part of the Stamp of the Month is that it is 50% and comes with a nice color photo of the sample board! Gotta love that!!!!! Another nice deal was that for every stamp under $10 they took 25% off…so I must admit, I did buy two stamps I wasn’t planning on…but since they were on sale…I figured what the hell, right? Well…their marketing ploy worked on me…though they were sure how long they would be running that sale.
Lastly, they do classes too…now, I did ask for a schedule, but didn’t find one in my bag when I got to my car…and my “driver” (my husband) was unwilling to wait for me to run back up the street. The on street parking works but is not always easy…fine on sunny Saturday though. If you’re in the area, be sure to check them out…it's worth the trip!
