dscn40351.jpgI have been busy with the zine, but I did do a few pieces of mail art recently. I have been playing with circles and faces of late and just thrilled with what’s been coming out of the studio.

The circle cards I use come in two sizes.  The larger is from www.paper-source.com and I love the colors and the size.  The smaller circles come from the Paper Cut...one of my vendors...and I buy them in sets of 100 in plain white and white watercolor.  I use them all the time...and am sending samples out in the next issue of The Postal Press.  I think you'll love them...if anyone wants to buy some...please let me know.  I want to place another order soon and am more than willing to part with some.  I get both the large and small in simple white and watercolor...let me know if you'd like some...I'll figure out a price.

dscn40321.jpgAs you’ve seen, I can’t draw, so I like to use pre-existing images and put them into new artwork…things with a heavy saturation of color…and often a bit of texture. I also tend to play with size a lot too…you saw that with the collection of 6x6 cards I did awhile back…I love these new paper packs by Die Cut With A View. It’s sticker paper…nice heavy textured cardstock on one side &sticker paper on the other. I collage on the sticker paper side…layering papers for the foundation of my project and then I have a nice, colorful side for the address &writing. dscn40251.jpgThe stacks have 48 sheets of paper in 12 colors…and come 6x6 &4.5x6.5…or at least that’s what I’ve seen in the stores. The cardstock is heavy &the texture is subtle enough that it’s easy to write on. I've only seen the simple bright &muted sets but there could be more.
