Journaling has been on my brain of late I’ve launched another call just for members of the Postal Press Swap Shop list. Its mail art meets journal and altered book and should be a ton of fun. I made a very cool mini-zine about the project and have a set of 12 books ready to go out the door. I think my mail art friends will love it!
Each person gets (2) two-page spreads in each book…they can do whatever they want as long as they don’t keep the book longer than 5 days. Wellllll…actually there are a few rules, but nothing too difficult. I plan to put all of the journals into a single exhibit in the Spring of 2007, depending on how many books come back to me. I will post pictures of the books as they are returned…I promise…just wish me luck in getting the darn books back. AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGG!!!
So, if you would like to be a part of this journal project, you have to join the Swap Shop Team…How??? Just send me a piece of mail art asking to be added…and with your address clearly written on it. I will add you to the list AND send you a copy of the list. You should send everyone a piece of mail art as they will be doing the same thing…and, one day you will find a journal in your box. Actually, over the course of this project, you may get several journals to work in.
Send your mail art to:

I am sending the list out to people about once per month (sometimes every 6 weeks depending on the number of new people) so you can stay on top of new addresses. Also, if people haven’t tried creating their own zine…you really should. There’s some fun stuff going on out there and I’d love to see more people publish and swap them.
