I can’t travel in October as I’d planned…just too much going on. I have changed the dates and will now be able to do a bit more planning for a true Mail and Paper Art European Tour!!!!! WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!
** hmmm…well, actually, probably more like a few folks hanging out, looking for paper and other interesting art supplies and checking out all the sites ***
I have contacted a travel agent, Julie the Wonderful, who will manage all the booking and closed in on a tour…the one outlined in the previous post. I have compiled a list of places I want to go (other than the touristy places we will obviously go with the group). If I can round up 20 people, the group would be more than half artsy folks…and that would be a ton of fun! So…for real now. The last trip was very short notice…but this one you can plan for!!! The date I have in mind is March 3, 2007 and the land only price is $2000. I suggest you talk to Julie about airfare…she will help you get a good deal…or use frequent flyer miles. She might be able to help you with that too – make sure you’re using as few miles as possible.
I will set up an area on this blog just for this trip. I will post updates there so you can see what I plan to do while on the trip. Of course, you don’t have to hang out with me…or go the places I go, but Julie has helped me find a nice little deal and the tours and such that come with the package are delightful. (I went on a similar tour last year.)
You can bring a friend or spouse…you can share a room, or go with a single. I hope that some of my mail art friends from overseas will want to meet up for a coffee or glass of wine or at least direct me to some cool places to buy paper and such.
If you want to go, or would like more information, please send me an email. It’ll be an awesome trip and I’d really like to have at least a few artsy folks along…we can meet up in the evening and show each other what we found that day…oh, and if there’s any techie folks out there that want to come, I’d like to do a pod cast each day…if you’d come along you can help me with the technical stuff (ha)!
