Sorry for the delay on getting the pictures of the collaborative art journals on the blog.
I have posted pictures for several books: 26,4, 8, 2, 27, 20, 11, 5, 3, 19, 18, 24, 9, 14 and these journals have been interesting places too. As I was putting all the date in the computer I realized just how far some of these books have been...in this last update alone I have work from: Linden, NJ...Forestvill, CA...Orem, UT...Vallejo, CA...Iowa City, IA...Calais, France... Santa Fe, NM...Dayton, OH...Salt Lake City, UT...Dayton, OH...and Boise, ID. Some artists are truly finding time to work in the book for a solid ten days -- producing anywhere from 8 - 12 pages of work...but some are completing 2 or 3 pages of work in the 15 days they have the book and both ways work and are appreciated...so don't feel like you have to do a ton in a book to be "successful". A little goes a long way...and more is more...both are just fine with me!
I'm thrilled not only with the diversity of thought, but also technique. There's some really cool stuff in these
books...so, grab yourself some coffee, tea, wine...beer...a cigarette, a carrot stick...or a piece of chocolate cake...whatever you need to relax and prepare to enjoy some fabulous art! I especially like the stuff that has lots of paint and texture...but I'm also intriqued by the use of photographs...but photos that are not in focus...just blurs...each to know what the shape is, but not clear enough to truly see it. The pages that are painted heavily have a nice texture too, making the book more than a visual sensation....hmmm, its hard to explain, but I'm sure you'll understand once you see them.
